My name is Ty Jenkins and I bring to Blocksport 13 years of collegiate coaching experience and 20 years of club coaching experience. In my Head Coach role of the top 18’s team at Blocksport (2012-2015) we received an invitation to USA Junior Nationals all three years and finished in the top 10 in 2014. While coaching the top 18’s team I will also be coaching the 15 National team this season. In previous years I also coached the 18 Black team (2012-2013), the top 14’s team (2013-2014), and the 16 Red team (2014-2015).
Prior to joining Blocksport, I coached at Texas Assault Volleyball Club where I was Head Coach of their 18’s Team in 2011.
Other club coaching experience is with Kirkwood Volleyball Club in St. Louis Missouri, Head Coach, 18’s Power Team (1996-1997); Mo-Kan Smack Volleyball Club, Kansas City, Missouri, Head Coach of the 18’s Power Team (1998-2001); Tennessee Lightning Club, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Club Director/Head Coach, 18’s Power Team (2003-2008) and Williamson County Select Volleyball Club, Nashville, Tennessee, Head Coach, 18’s National Team (2010).
My collegiate coaching experience started with Maryville University, St. Louis, Missouri as Assistant Coach from 1995-1996 where the Lady Saints reached conference finals in 1996; First Assistant Coach at Park University, Parkville, Missouri from 1997-2000 and as Volunteer Assistant Coach with Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, Tennessee from 2004-2009, where the squad received its first-ever AVCA Top-25 ranking in 2006, peaking with an AVCA Top-15 ranking in 2007 and had NCAA tournament appearances in 2006 through 2009 including the Sweet 16 in 2007.
My player experience was at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa where I was an All American Setter from 1989-1992.
I have trained and developed club-players for Student-Athlete careers at many Division I, Division II, Division III and NAA universities.
