Jeremiah Anderson is a native of Chicago, IL and relocated to the Great State of Texas in 2013. During high school he earned 4 Varsity letters in volleyball, as well as basketball and football. Setting a school record for wins, Jeremiah drew the attention of in-state Men’s Volleyball program Quincy University where he would go on to play for 4 years. While at Quincy University he helped his squad set a school record for wins and gave them their first playoff berth in school history. The team was also able to pick up the school’s first playoff win during Jeremiah’s senior season.
After graduating from Quincy University, Jeremiah went on to become the graduate assistant at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Working under the direction of Venessa Jacobs and Nathaniel Denu the University made a run to the conference semi-final before losing to the eventual champion.
Moving to the DFW Metroplex in 2013, Jeremiah joined Blocksport for a season, then moved on to 900 Volleyball club for 2 seasons before making his return to Blocksport this season. Jeremiah wants to make an impact on as many young lives as he can through the game of volleyball. Excited to be a part of the Blocksport family once again Jeremiah had this to say, “…it’s good to be home”.
He is also the proud new Varsity Head Volleyball Coach for The Highland School of Irving Texas. He says his primary goal is to build on the strengths of the schools program to create an even stronger Volleyball program. Ensuring there is consistency in messaging and uniformity in the principles and strategies associated with the system they will run is key to helping build a dynamic program for the student-athletes. Anderson bring this along with over 10 years of experience to Blocksport Volleyball Club.
